Hi folks,
I have two pieces on display in the 2018 Hands Across Missouri Exhibit in Chillicothe, Missouri. This is a juried exhibit put together by The Best of Missouri Hands. I participated in this exhibit last year and am excited to be included again this time around.
My pieces include The Universe Favors Spheres:
And Marigold Merriment:
These pieces look really different from each other, and they are, but they also represent everything I love when I make art. I enjoy bright colors and high contrast and weirdo fluffy, glitzy yarns. I also enjoy dyeing wool with things from my garden and getting the subtle golden hues that come from nature. Basically, I am all over the place, and that is ok with me. Also, I made both of these pieces while we were in the upheaval of selling the house. I’m happy to have produced things during that stressful time.
Hands Across Missouri runs through August 30, 2018. The exhibit is at the Cultural Corner Gallery in Chillicothe, MO:
